Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
- 2
Season the Chicken
Rub both sides of the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic (minced), salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Assemble the Rollatini
Lay a slice of prosciutto on each chicken breast, followed by a layer of Fontina cheese and some fresh basil leaves. Roll the chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- 4
Bake the Rollatini
Place the chicken rolls seam side down in a greased baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- 5
Finish Baking
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
- 6
Serve
Let the rollatini rest for a few minutes, then serve hot with extra marinara sauce on the side.
