Method
Cooking the Pasta

Boil Water
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Cook Spaghetti
Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.
Making the Meat Sauce

Heat Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Brown the Meat
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5 minutes.

Add Liquids and Seasoning
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Simmer Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
Combining and Serving

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained spaghetti to the meat sauce and toss to combine.

Serve the spaghetti bolognese hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
