Method
Brewing the Tea
Boil the Water
In a kettle, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
Steep the Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove the kettle from heat and add either 4 tsp of loose tea leaves or 4 tea bags. Let it steep for 5 to 7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.
Strain the Tea
If using loose tea leaves, strain the tea into a teapot or directly into cups using a fine mesh strainer. If using tea bags, simply remove the bags.
Adding Flavor (optional)
Sweeten the Tea
If desired, stir in 2 tablespoons of honey for sweetness while the tea is still warm.
Add Lemon
Add a slice of lemon to each cup for a refreshing citrus flavor.
Add Milk
For a creamier tea, pour in 1 cup of milk and stir well.
Garnish with Mint
Add 5 fresh mint leaves to each cup for added aroma and flavor.
