Pasta

Method

Cooking the Pasta

1

Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Add a pinch of salt to the water to enhance the flavor of the pasta.

2

Cook the Pasta

Add the angel hair pasta to the boiling water. Cook according to the package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes, until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

3

Drain and Rinse

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

Making the Sauce

4

Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and allow it to heat for about 1 minute.

5

Sauté Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

6

Add Cherry Tomatoes

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet, stirring gently. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes begin to soften and release their juices.

7

Season the Sauce

Stir in the chopped basil, salt, and black pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for another 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors.

Combining Pasta and Sauce

8

Combine Pasta with Sauce

Add the drained angel hair pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly.

9

Serve

Transfer the pasta to serving plates. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and additional fresh basil if desired. Enjoy!
