Sauteed Mushrooms

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the USDA Prime Ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook more evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add fresh rosemary on top.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Place the steaks on the grill and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is achieved. Use a meat thermometer for best results (130°F for medium-rare).

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Sauteed Mushrooms

While the steak is resting, heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  6. 6

    Cook the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are browned and tender.

  7. 7

    Finish the Mushrooms

Stir in the chopped parsley and cook for an additional minute. Remove from heat.

  8. 8

    Serve

Slice the rested ribeye steaks and serve topped with the sautéed mushrooms.
