In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.

Add Tomatoes and Spices
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, chopped basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the marinara sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
