For the Wontons

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, minced garlic, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

  2. 2

    Wrap the Wontons

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over to form a triangle, and press to seal. Then, bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal tightly. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. 3

    Cook the Wontons

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the wontons and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until they float to the top and are cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix additional soy sauce with fried garlic for dipping sauce.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the wontons warm with the garlic shoyu sauce on the side for dipping.
