Directions
- 1
Prepare the Sticky Rice
Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 2
Cook the Rice
Drain the soaked rice and place it in a steamer lined with pandan leaves. Steam the rice for about 30-35 minutes until tender.
- 3
Make the Coconut Sauce
In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, but do not let it boil.
- 4
Combine Rice and Sauce
Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a bowl and pour about half of the coconut sauce over it. Mix well and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
- 5
Prepare the Mango
Peel and slice the mangoes into thin strips.
- 6
Serve
To serve, place a portion of the sticky rice on a plate, top with mango slices, drizzle with the remaining coconut sauce, and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and coconut flakes.
