Steak and Vegetables

Honey Garlic Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak and Vegetables

Cut the rib eye steak into 1-inch cubes. Chop the mushrooms, scallions (green and white parts), and red bell pepper into bite-sized pieces. Rinse the spinach and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Honey Garlic Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the steak cubes, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil. Add the mushrooms, red bell pepper, and scallions. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Add the spinach and cook until wilted.

  3. 5

    Combine with Sauce

Return the steak to the skillet, pour the honey garlic sauce over the steak and vegetables, and toss everything together. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  4. 6

    Steam the Broccoli

While the steak and vegetables are cooking, steam the broccoli until bright green and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
