Marinade

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, lemon juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, and green chili paste. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 2

Add ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt to the marinade. Stir until all spices are evenly distributed.

  3. 3

Add the cubed chicken breasts into the marinade, ensuring that each piece is fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for best flavor.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F). If using skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.

  2. 5

    Skewer the Chicken

Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.

  3. 6

    Grill the Chicken

Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. The internal temperature should reach 75°C (165°F).

  4. 7

    Serve

Remove the chicken from the grill, let it rest for a few minutes, then serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
