Marinade

Serving

Method

Preparation of Marinade

  1. 1

    Combine Marinade Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix together the plain yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and oil until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken thighs into cubes and add them to the marinade. Ensure that each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for the best flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Broiler

Preheat the oven's broiler to high. If using a tandoor, prepare it according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  2. 4

    Skewer the Chicken

Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.

  3. 5

    Broil the Chicken

Place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with foil (if using a broiler) or directly into the tandoor. Broil for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Chicken Tikka

Remove the chicken from the skewers and arrange them on a serving platter. Drizzle with sour cream and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
