Seasonings

Method

Preparing the Broth and Noodles

  1. 1

    Cook the Broth

In a large pot, bring the pork broth and 500 ml of water to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer.

  2. 2

    Cook the Noodles

In another pot, cook the Tibetan noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Pork and Vegetables

  1. 3

    Sauté the Pork

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced pork and sauté until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.

  2. 4

    Add Aromatics

Add minced garlic and ginger to the pork, and cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 5

    Add Vegetables

Add julienned carrots, sliced bell pepper, and chopped green onions to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  4. 6

    Incorporate Seasonings

Pour in the soy sauce and remaining sesame oil. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Assembling the Thukpa

  1. 7

    Combine and Serve

Ladle the hot broth into serving bowls. Add a portion of noodles, followed by the pork and vegetable mixture. Garnish with chopped cilantro. Serve hot.
