Paneer Tikka

Masala Sauce

Method

Paneer Tikka Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Paneer

In a bowl, combine yogurt, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Add Paneer and Vegetables

Cut the paneer into cubes. Add the paneer, diced bell peppers, and onion to the marinade. Mix gently to coat all pieces. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Skewer and Grill

Preheat the grill or oven. Skewer the marinated paneer and vegetables alternately. Brush with oil and grill for about 15-20 minutes until slightly charred.

Masala Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Sauté Onions

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until they are soft and golden brown.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic and Ginger

Finely chop garlic and ginger. Add them to the pan and sauté for another minute until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Cook Tomatoes

Add chopped tomatoes to the pan. Cook until they soften and the oil separates from the mixture.

  4. 7

    Blend the Sauce

Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then blend it until smooth. Return it to the pan.

  5. 8

    Add Cream and Spices

Stir in the cream, garam masala, cumin powder, and salt. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Combine and Serve

  1. 9

    Add Paneer Tikka to Sauce

Once the paneer tikka is ready, add it to the masala sauce and gently mix to coat.

  2. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
