Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Clean the Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for baking the wings.

Cooking the Wings

  1. 4

    Arrange the Wings

Place the seasoned chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.

  2. 5

    Bake the Wings

Bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for approximately 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are crispy and cooked through.

Preparing the Sauces

  1. 6

    Buffalo Sauce

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper until combined and heated through.

  2. 7

    BBQ Sauce

For BBQ wings, simply heat your favorite BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over low heat until warmed.

  3. 8

    Teriyaki Sauce

In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

Coating the Wings

  1. 9

    Toss in Sauce

Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Add the desired sauce (Buffalo, BBQ, or Teriyaki) and toss until the wings are well coated.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate the Wings

Serve the coated chicken wings on a platter with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing on the side.
