Dough

Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing with your hands or a wooden spoon until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Filling Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped cilantro, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.

Assembly and Cooking

  1. 4

    Roll Out the Dough

After resting, divide the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Roll out each ball into a thin circle (about 3-4 inches in diameter) on a floured surface.

  2. 5

    Fill the Mo:Mo

Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each rolled-out dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly.

  3. 6

    Prepare the Steamer

Fill a steamer pot with water and bring it to a boil. Line the steamer basket with a clean cloth or parchment paper to prevent sticking.

  4. 7

    Steam the Mo:Mo

Carefully place the filled Mo:Mo in the steamer basket, leaving space between them for expansion. Cover and steam for about 15-20 minutes until the dough is cooked and translucent.
