Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.

  2. 2

    Bread the Steak

Dip each beef cube steak into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture. Press down to ensure the flour adheres well.

  3. 3

    Fry the Steak

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

    Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, drain excess oil leaving about 2 tablespoons. Add chicken broth and heavy cream, whisking to combine. Cook over medium heat until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the fried steak topped with the creamy gravy and garnish with fresh parsley.
