Method
Brewing the Tea
- 1
Boil Water
In a kettle, bring 1 cup of fresh water to a boil. Ensure that the water is not boiling vigorously, as this can scorch the green tea leaves.
- 2
Steep the Tea
Once the water reaches about 175°F (80°C), remove it from heat. Add 2 teaspoons of green tea leaves to the hot water and allow it to steep for 2-3 minutes. Adjust the steeping time based on your taste preference; longer steeping can lead to a more bitter flavor.
- 3
Strain the Tea
After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer or a tea infuser into a cup or teapot.
