Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Beef Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently and form into 4 equal-sized patties.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
- 3
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, split the burger buns and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
Toppings Assembly
- 4
Prepare the Toppings
Wash the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato into thick rounds.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer a lettuce leaf, a beef patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
