Cooking the Macaroni
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt to the water.

Add 2 cups of macaroni to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, typically about 8-10 minutes.

Once cooked, drain the macaroni and set aside.
Cheese Sauce Preparation

Once melted, add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour to the butter and whisk continuously for about 1-2 minutes until it forms a roux and turns a light golden color.

Creating the Cheese Sauce
Gradually pour in 2 cups of milk while whisking to avoid lumps.

Continue to cook the mixture, stirring frequently, until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

Once thickened, reduce the heat to low and stir in 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and smooth.

Season with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of paprika, stirring until well combined.
