Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt.

  2. 2

    Cook Spaghetti

Add 8 cups of spaghetti to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water for later use.

Cooking Seafood

  1. 4

    Sauté Shrimp and Scallops

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and scallops. Cook for 3-4 minutes until shrimp turn pink and scallops are opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Making Cream Sauce

  1. 5

    Cook Garlic

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 6

    Add Cream

Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and stir, bringing it to a gentle simmer.

  3. 7

    Add Cheese and Seasoning

Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1 tsp of black pepper, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combining Everything

  1. 8

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained spaghetti to the cream sauce, tossing to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water to reach desired sauce consistency.

  2. 9

  3. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Serve immediately.
