Preparing the Crab

Prepare the Steamer
Fill a large pot with 2 cups of water and place a steamer basket or rack inside. The water should not touch the bottom of the basket.

Steam the Crab Legs
Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the king crab legs to the steamer basket, cover the pot with a lid, and steam for 6-8 minutes.
Making the Drawn Butter

Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Be careful not to let it brown.

Add Flavorings
Once melted, stir in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Add salt to taste. Remove from heat.
Serving

Plate the Crab Legs
Carefully remove the crab legs from the steamer using tongs. Place them on a serving platter.

Serve with Butter
Serve the steamed crab legs with the drawn butter on the side for dipping.
