Prepare the Seafood

Clean the Seafood
Thoroughly clean the shrimp, crabs, and mussels under cold running water. Discard any mussels that do not close when tapped.
Boil the Seafood

Prepare the Boil
In a large stockpot, bring 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Add Seasoning
Stir in the Old Bay seasoning, halved lemons, smashed garlic cloves, bay leaves, salt, and cayenne pepper into the boiling water. Let it boil for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.

Cook the Seafood
Add the blue crabs first and boil for 10 minutes. Then add the mussels and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Finally, add the shrimp and cook for another 3-5 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque.

Prepare the Dipping Sauce

Mix the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, hot sauce, and lemon juice. Mix until well blended.
