Cake Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Pudding Layer

In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.

  2. 2

    Combine with Whipped Cream

Gently fold in the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until well combined.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Cake

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer vanilla wafers, followed by sliced bananas, and then a layer of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers, finishing with pudding on top.

  4. 4

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.

  5. 5

    Prepare Miso Caramel

In a saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and turns golden brown. Remove from heat and carefully stir in 1/4 cup miso paste until smooth.

  6. 6

    Serve

Before serving, drizzle the miso caramel over the top of the chilled banana pudding cake. Dust with matcha powder and serve chilled.
