Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the BBQ brisket, smoked gouda cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tofu Skin

Soak the tofu skin sheets in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften. Drain and pat dry.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Hot Pocketz

Lay a softened tofu skin sheet on a clean surface. Place a generous amount of the BBQ brisket and cheese mixture on one side of the sheet.

  4. 4

    Seal the Hot Pocketz

Fold the other half of the tofu skin over the filling and press the edges together to seal. Repeat with the remaining sheets and filling.

  5. 5

    Cook the Hot Pocketz

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the sealed Hot Pocketz and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the Hot Pocketz from the skillet and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
