Pulled Pork Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with yellow mustard to coat evenly. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this spice mixture all over the pork.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour half of the barbecue sauce over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Use two forks to shred the meat. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the remaining barbecue sauce.

Serve with Slaw & Pickles
Serve the pulled pork on a bun topped with coleslaw and pickles.
