Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pie Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If using a store-bought pie crust, follow the package instructions. If making your own, roll out the dough and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish.
- 2
Mix the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk together until fully combined.
- 3
Add Pecans
Fold in the chopped pecans into the mixture until evenly distributed.
- 4
Bake the Pie
Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
- 5
Cool and Serve
Allow the pie to cool at room temperature for at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve as is or with whipped cream on top.
