Wontons

Frying

Method

Wontons

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Fill the Wontons

Take a wonton wrapper and place a teaspoon of the shrimp mixture in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold the wrapper over to form a triangle, and press to seal. Make sure there are no air pockets.

  3. 3

    Repeat

Repeat the filling and sealing process with the remaining wonton wrappers and shrimp filling until all are used.

Kalbi

  1. 4

    Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper. Add the beef short ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 5

    Cook the Kalbi

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade and grill or pan-fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

Frying

  1. 6

    Fry the Wontons

In a deep pot or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the wontons in batches, frying until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.
