Preparation

1. Prepare the Strawberries

Wash the fresh strawberries under cold running water. Remove the green tops and slice them in half.

2. Make Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.

Blending

3. Blend Ingredients

In a blender, combine the prepared strawberries, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and the cooled simple syrup. Blend until smooth.

4. Add Ice

Add 4 cups of ice cubes to the blender. Blend on high until the mixture is slushy and smooth.
