Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Begin by cutting the boneless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Season them with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Coat the Chicken
In a bowl, whisk the egg and then dip each piece of chicken into the egg, followed by coating it in cornstarch. Make sure each piece is evenly coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Sauce Preparation
- 5
- 6
Thicken the Sauce
Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat, and stir in sesame seeds.
- 7
Glaze the Chicken
Once the chicken is fried, pour the sauce over the chicken in a large bowl, tossing to coat each piece evenly.
Garnish and Serving

Prepare the Plate
On a serving plate, serve a portion of cooked white rice, top with the glazed sesame chicken, and add a side of steamed broccoli.
- 9
Garnish
Sprinkle chopped green onions over the top for garnish.
