Burger Patty Preparation

Prepare the Patty
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

Form the Patty
Shape the mixture into a burger patty, about 1 inch thick.

Flip the Patty
Flip the patty, then place the bacon slices on top. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.

Add Cheese
When the patty is almost cooked to your liking, place the cheddar cheese slices on top and cover to melt for about 1-2 minutes.
Assembly

Prepare the Bun
Toast the burger bun lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

Assemble the Burger
Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom half of the bun, add the lettuce, then place the cooked patty with bacon and melted cheese on top.

Add Toppings
Top with a slice of tomato, pickles, and the onion rings. Cover with the top bun.
