Mushroom Marsala Sauce

Method

Pork Chops

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Grill the Pork Chops

Heat the olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and grill for 6-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove from heat and let rest.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot of salted water.

  2. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes for 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and return them to the pot.

  3. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Add the butter, heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Sautéed Spinach

  1. 6

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 7

    Cook the Spinach

Add the fresh spinach to the skillet. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until wilted. Season with salt and black pepper.

Mushroom Marsala Sauce

  1. 8

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are browned.

  2. 9

    Add Marsala Wine

Pour in the marsala wine and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce reduces slightly.

  3. 10

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in the butter, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce is glossy.
