Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen French fries package. Spread the fries on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil. Toss to coat evenly. Bake in the oven for the time specified on the package until they are golden and crispy.

  2. 2

    Cook the Meat and Vegetables

While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the pastrami or Philly steak and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Season with salt and black pepper.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Assemble the Loaded Fries

Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven and place them on a large serving platter. Evenly distribute the meat and vegetable mixture over the fries. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.

  2. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Return the loaded fries to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Finishing Touches

  1. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the loaded fries from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and sliced jalapeños. Serve hot with a side of sour cream for dipping.
