Chicken Wings
Spicy Asian BBQ Sauce
Method
Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prep the Chicken Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until the wings are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Coat with Cornstarch
After marinating, sprinkle cornstarch over the chicken wings and toss to coat evenly. This will help achieve a crispy texture once baked.
Spicy Asian BBQ Sauce Preparation
- 3
Make the Sauce
In a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, gochujang, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Stir well over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and starts to thicken, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Add Green Onions
Remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the chopped green onions. Set aside.
Cooking the Wings
- 5
Bake the Chicken Wings
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the coated chicken wings on the baking sheet in a single layer.
- 6
Cook Until Crispy
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 7
Toss with Sauce
Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and place them in a large mixing bowl. Pour the prepared spicy BBQ sauce over the wings and toss until fully coated.
Serving
- 8
