Marinade

Method

Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, black pepper, and sesame seeds. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved and the ingredients are well mixed.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Ribs

Place the boneless beef short ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.

Cooking Ribs

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C). If using a charcoal grill, let the coals turn gray and ash over.

  2. 4

    Season the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the marinade and lightly pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt to taste.

  3. 5

    Grill the Ribs

Place the ribs on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness (145°F / 63°C for medium rare).

  4. 6

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve hot, garnished with additional sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
