Method

Shrimp Marinade

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade. Toss to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Rice Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Rice

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the long-grain white rice and toast it for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

  2. 4

    Add Broth

Pour in the chicken broth and add salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and has absorbed the liquid.

Shrimp Cooking

  1. 5

    Cook the Shrimp

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.

Plating

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Scoop a portion of the cooked rice onto a plate. Top with the cooked shrimp. Garnish with chopped green onions, fresh parsley, and lemon wedges.
