Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

Thinly slice the ribeye steak against the grain into strips.

  2. 2

    Chop Vegetables

Dice the green bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms into small pieces.

Cooking the Steak and Vegetables

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced ribeye steak and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the chopped onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until they are tender and slightly caramelized.

Assembling the Chalupas

  1. 5

    Build the Chalupa

Take a piece of pita bread, layer the cooked steak, sautéed vegetables, and top with provolone cheese.

  2. 6

    Grill the Chalupa
