For the Fried Saimin

Method

For the Fried Saimin

  1. 1

    Cook the Saimin Noodles

Bring a pot of water to boil. Add the saimin noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Stir-Fry

In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Add Vegetables

Add the sliced green onions, julienned carrots, and shredded cabbage to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  4. 4

    Combine Noodles and Seasonings

Add the cooked saimin noodles to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Season with black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

For the Crispy Wontons

  1. 5

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, garlic powder, chopped green onions, and soy sauce. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

  2. 6

    Fill the Wontons

Place a teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper over to create a triangle, and press to seal. Repeat until all mixture is used.

  3. 7

    Fry the Wontons

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the wontons in batches, about 3-4 at a time, for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
