Mandoo Dough
Filling
For Frying
Method
Prepare the Dough
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a dough forms.
- 2
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- 3
Rest the Dough
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Filling
- 4
Mix the Filling Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork or beef, chopped green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
Assemble the Mandoo
- 5
Roll Out the Dough
After resting, divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball). Roll each ball into a thin circle on a floured surface.
- 6
Fill the Dough
Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
Fry the Mandoo
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- 8
Fry the Mandoo
Carefully add the mandoo to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- 9
Drain and Serve
Remove the fried mandoo from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
