Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Burger Patty
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until just combined.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center.
- 3
Slice the Sausage
Slice the Portuguese sausage (chorizo) into thin rounds.
Cooking
- 4
Cook the Burger Patties
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- 5
Add the Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
- 6
Cook the Eggs
In another skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your preference (sunny-side up or over-easy).
- 7
Assembly

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each burger bun, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise. Add a lettuce leaf, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, the cooked sausage, and finally the fried egg.
- 9
Finish the Burger
Top with the other half of the burger bun and serve immediately.
