Method
Prepare the Noodles and Wontons
- 1
Cook the Saimin Noodles
In a large pot of boiling water, cook the saimin noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Fry the Wontons
Heat 1 cup of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Carefully place wonton wrappers in the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Prepare the Korean Chicken
- 3
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, brown sugar, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated in the marinade. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 4
Cook the Chicken
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and slice into strips.
Prepare the Kalbi
- 5
Marinate the Kalbi
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and chopped green onions. Add the sliced beef short ribs, ensuring they are well coated in the marinade. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- 6
Combine and Serve
- 7
Fry the Noodles
In the same skillet used for the chicken, add a little more oil if necessary and stir-fry the cooked saimin noodles over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes until heated through.
- 8
Assemble the Dish
Plate the stir-fried noodles, top with the sliced Korean chicken and kalbi. Garnish with crispy wontons, sliced green onions, and toasted sesame seeds.
