Preparation of Main Components

Prepare the Rice
If not already cooked, rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to your rice cooker or stovetop instructions. Once done, fluff the rice with a fork and keep warm.

Prepare Umeboshi
If the umeboshi is whole, pit it and chop it into smaller pieces. Set aside.
Assembling the Chazuke

Combine Ingredients
In a serving bowl, place a generous scoop of the cooked rice at the bottom.

Add Fish and Umeboshi
Top the rice with the flaked fish and chopped umeboshi.

Add Furikake
Sprinkle Nori's furikake generously over the top of the fish and umeboshi.

Add Tsukemono
Place a serving of Nori's Tsukemono on the side of the bowl.

Final Touches
Optionally, add sesame seeds, chopped green onions, and a sprinkle of shichimi togarashi on top for added flavor and garnish.

Pour hot dashi or green tea over the assembled chazuke just before serving, ensuring to cover the ingredients. Serve immediately.
