Meat and Marinade
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, apple cider vinegar, and water. Whisk until well combined.
- 2
Marinate the Beef
Place the beef brisket in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the brisket, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight for better flavor.
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 180°C (350°F). Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
- 4
Grill the Beef
Remove the brisket from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Place it on the grill and cook for about 20-25 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness (medium-rare is about 60°C or 140°F).
- 5
Rest the Meat
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for at least 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
- 6
Slice and Serve
Slice the brisket against the grain into thin slices. Serve warm with your favorite BBQ sauce or sides.
