Method

Thanksgiving Buffet Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and rub the butter all over the skin. Season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme.

  2. 2

    Stuff the Turkey

Prepare the stuffing according to package directions using chicken broth. Stuff the turkey cavity with the prepared stuffing.

  3. 3

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey breast side up in a roasting pan. Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for about 3-4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste occasionally with pan juices.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sides

While the turkey is roasting, prepare the green beans by tossing them with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Roast in the oven for the last 30 minutes of turkey cooking time.

  5. 5

    Serve the Buffet

Once the turkey is done, let it rest for 20 minutes before carving. Serve the turkey alongside stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy. Don’t forget dessert - slice the pumpkin pie and serve!
