Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Rice
Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice with 1 1/2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and fluffy. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for another 5 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Branzino
In a large steaming basket, place the whole branzino. Drizzle lime juice, chicken stock, and fish sauce over the fish. Sprinkle chopped cilantro on top.
- 3
Steam the Fish
Bring a pot of water to a boil, then place the steaming basket with the branzino over the pot. Cover and steam for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- 4
Serve
Serve the steamed branzino with jasmine rice on the side. Drizzle with additional seafood nam jim if desired and garnish with more cilantro.
