Sushi Roll Filling

Method

Prepare Filling

  1. 1

    Prepare Spicy Shrimp Mix

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked and diced shrimp with softened cream cheese and sriracha sauce. Mix well until the shrimp is evenly coated and the cream cheese is smooth.

  2. 2

    Prepare Vegetables

Julienne the cucumber and slice the avocado. Set aside for later assembly.

Assemble Sushi Roll

  1. 3

    Prepare Sushi Rice

Lay a bamboo sushi mat on a flat surface. Place a sheet of nori on the mat with the shiny side facing down. Wet your fingers to prevent sticking and take a handful of sushi rice, spreading it evenly over the nori, leaving about 1 inch at the top edge.

  2. 4

    Add Filling

In the center of the rice-covered nori, layer the spicy shrimp mix, julienned cucumber, and sliced avocado.

  3. 5

    Roll the Sushi

Using the bamboo mat, carefully roll the nori away from you, applying gentle pressure to form a tight roll. Once rolled, use your fingers to press the seam to seal the roll.

  4. 6

    Cut the Roll

Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into 6-8 pieces. Clean the knife with a damp cloth between cuts for cleaner slices.

Finish and Serve

  1. 7

Top with Crab and Eel Sauce

Place the sliced sushi rolls on a serving plate. Top each piece with a small amount of crab meat and drizzle with eel sauce. Finally, sprinkle tempura crunch over the top for added texture.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the Samson Way Roll immediately with additional eel sauce on the side for dipping.
