Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

  2. 2

    Season the Fillets

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic (from the 4 cloves), salt, and black pepper. Drizzle this mixture over the salmon fillets and rub it in gently.

  3. 3

    Prepare Lemon and Dill

Slice the lemon in half. Squeeze the juice of one half over the seasoned salmon. Finely chop the fresh dill and sprinkle it over the fillets.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Bake the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  2. 5

    Prepare Optional Vegetables (if using)

If you are using asparagus and cherry tomatoes, toss them in a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper, and arrange them on the baking sheet with the salmon during the last 10 minutes of cooking.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve with the remaining lemon half for extra flavor and garnish with additional dill if desired.
