Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna

Using a sharp knife, cut the fresh ahi tuna into small 1/2-inch cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the cucumber in half lengthwise, remove the seeds, and then cut it into thin half-moon shapes. Finely slice the red onion.

Making the Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the yuzu juice, light sesame oil, soy sauce, and honey until well combined.

  2. 4

    Season the Sauce

Add salt and pepper to the sauce mixture to taste. Adjust the sweetness with more honey if desired.

Combining Ingredients

    Mix Everything Together

Add the prepared cucumber and red onion to the bowl with the tuna. Pour the yuzu sauce over the mixture and gently toss everything together until evenly coated.

    Plate and Serve

Serve the Hawaiian poke immediately in bowls, with additional sesame seeds on top if desired.
