Sea Salt Seasoning

Soy Glaze

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Edamame

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add 2 cups of edamame pods to the boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes until tender. Remove from heat and drain the edamame.

Spicy Seasoning

  1. 2

    Prepare Spicy Seasoning

In a small bowl, combine 1 tsp of chili powder, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 2 tbs of soy sauce, 1 tbs of sesame oil, and 1 tsp of sugar. Mix well until combined.

  2. 3

    Toss Edamame

In a mixing bowl, add the boiled edamame and pour the spicy seasoning over the top. Toss gently until the edamame is evenly coated in the seasoning.

Sea Salt Seasoning

  1. 4

    Prepare Sea Salt Edamame

Alternatively, for a simple sea salt preparation, sprinkle 1 tsp of sea salt over the boiled edamame and toss gently to combine.

Soy Glaze

  1. 5

    Make Soy Glaze

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine 3 tbs of soy sauce, 1 tbs of honey, and 1 tbs of rice vinegar. Stir until the honey is dissolved and the mixture is well combined.

  2. 6

    Glaze the Edamame

Remove the saucepan from heat and drizzle the soy glaze over the boiled edamame. Toss to coat evenly and sprinkle with 1 tbs of sesame seeds before serving.
