Method

Cake Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3

Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4

Combine and Add Water

Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing on low speed. Finally, stir in the boiling water until smooth.

5

Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Milk Mixture

6

Prepare the Milk Mixture

In a bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk. Mix until well blended.

Assembly

7

Soak the Cake

Once the cake is baked and cooled, poke holes all over the surface using a fork. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.

8

Make the Chantilly

In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and cinnamon until soft peaks form.

9

Top the Cake

Spread the cinnamon chantilly over the soaked cake and sprinkle with toasted coconut flakes.
