Preparation

Grilling the Pork Chops

1. Prepare the Pork Chops

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Rub the pork chops with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

2. Grill the Pork Chops

Place the pork chops on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

3. Baste with BBQ Sauce

During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the pork chops with the bacon molasses BBQ sauce.

Making Bacon Molasses BBQ Sauce

4. Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.

5. Prepare the Sauce

Add molasses, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer for 10 minutes.

6. Add Bacon

Chop the cooked bacon and stir it into the sauce. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Preparing Parsley Potatoes

7. Boil the Potatoes

In a pot, boil the baby potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and set aside.

8. Mix with Parsley

In a bowl, toss the boiled potatoes with butter, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.

Making Turnip Slaw

9. Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine grated turnips, grated carrot, and shredded red cabbage.

10. Dress the Slaw

In a small bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Pour over the turnip mixture and toss to coat.
